Do not Grief
Griefing is a term similar in meaning to vandalizing. See a more detailed explanation here. This can be a wide range of things, but not limited to:
Breaking, or attempting to break any blocks you did not place. If your arm swings, it had better have been yours.
Adding onto structures you don't own or blocking an area on purpose.
Placing or destroying blocks in someone else's claimed area. Includes flowers, bamboo, saplings, etc.
One block towers or pits to the bottom of the world just to trap people.
Leaving a large number of items floating on the ground without picking them up.
Do not grief in order to steal. (See 'Stealing' tab)
Do not place or break any blocks in order to gain access to an area not owned by you. (Ex: skybridge to drop on house, digging under fence, pillaring over a fence, etc)
Ladders are sometimes an exception. Read on them here!
Mining tunnels under other people's lands. See image below. It is your responsibility to pay attention to what is above you!
Do not grief your friends as a prank. Checking false alarms wastes the staff's time and will get you punished the same as an actual grief.
Mines are an exception to the normal griefing rule.
If you enter someone's underground base having busted through natural material (smoothstone), then you need to leave, and repair it as best as possible. You will not be held responsible for griefing since there is no way you could have known a claimed area lay beyond. HOWEVER, players are not allowed to use that entry to go rob and steal from people's bases or bust up the rest of their walls in their base once you know its there. Doing so you will be treated as a griefer and illigitmate thief.
Do not create Grief Traps
If you want to make a normal fall trap or lava trap that is perfectly fine, but creating a grief trap is against the rules! Only staff members are able to create grief traps. Grief traps can be considered:
Valuable blocks such as diamond,iron,gold, etc. placed outside of ones vault in a way that it brings players into the area to take those ores.
Making traps where one sees a chest, enters the room and can no longer exit due to slow sand, etc. This is fine within your home but not out in the open.
Do not over decorate your home with valuable materials. These materials will NOT be replaced if someone griefs them.
Client Modification Rules
Do not exploit glitches, duplicate items, hack, or modify client
Things that fall into this category include, but are not limited to:
Fly Hacks or speed hacks, or any hacks of any kind.
Duplicating items, even via unsynchronized rollback to inventory error [A roll back occurs, and the item is still in your chest, and in your inventory]
Use xray, minimap, program, or a see-through texture pack to locate ores, mossy cobble or chests, or any specific block type.
Spawning items via a cheat client
Logging in twice or more on the same account name.
Keeping and not returning Admin spawned items for a project they asked you to do.
Using any method to exploit and not play the game naturally. (Logging in and out to see chunks load in to find things, obtaining illegitimate items, etc)
Using redstone dust to make an obsidian generator
Being on the receiving end of hacked or duped items or possessing them will also land you in trouble. If someone hands you stacks of diamonds, its a red flag that they are duped. Report it to an admin and hand it over ASAP!
Client Mods
(updated 10/28/11) All client mods are not allowed for use on our server unless they are on this approved list of client modifications. Want a mod to be approved? Submit it to the staff via the feedback forum for review!

Do not be vulgar, offensive, a troll or a harasser
Applies to skins, chat, names, teamspeak, forums, in what you create/build, and in any form of being part of this community.
Do not build or write signs that contain any thing that could be construed as vulgar or offensive. (Swastikas, confederate flags, etc)
If a player asks you to leave their area, leave. (Needs to be for an extended time and actually count toward harassment, not pvp or stealing aspect)
Do not type in caps or spam chat.
Do not curse excessively.
Slurs are not permitted in any form.
Do not disrespect staff or players, and do not pester staff
If an Admin or Mod tells you something, you listen. This is not a debate, this is not your server. Just because you do not agree with them, does not give you the right to argue.
Do not curse at the staff or other players insultingly.
Do not talk back rudely to a staff member.
When one staff tells you no, do not keep asking other staff members.
Impersonating staff in any form or medium.
Do not beg the staff for items.
Do not beg for higher position.
Zero tolerance for trolling the staff.
Do not advertise other servers
Posting the IP, thread, or website of another server is not allowed, and will get you instantly banned.
Do not use an alternate account to circumvent your ban
Using an alternate account to get around your ban will get you permanently I.P. banned.
Ender Pearls
Ender Pearls are NOT allowed to be used in the main world, but are allowed in the following places:
Spawn
Nether World
Event World (Unless the event strictly forbids it's use. If that is the case you'll be informed of it.)
